1. Make sure you have a clean, dry and smooth wall. To ensure this, you should wipe your wall clean of dirt, dust and chemicals with a damp cloth, and allow it to dry before application.

2. Ensure your walls are free of any lumps and bumps and smooth these out lightly with a hand-sander in order to avoid air pockets and non-adhesion. You should fill and sand any holes or divots. Be sure to wipe down wall of excess dust after any sanding and before application.

Strathmore Interiors wallpapers are not reusable. They are only reposition-able, for the period in time in which you are hanging them to help you achieve your desired result. They are also easy to remove, so as to not damage a properly primed and prepared wall.

Each order comes with a application kit including a step by step guide to hanging the wallpaper. Wallpaper rolls will also arrive to customer labeled chronologically to ensure they are hung in the correct order and that the seamless pattern is joined together correctly.

Our wallpapers are specifically designed with a width of 65mm to ensure that it can be easily installed by a single person. Despite this, if you have another person to help it does make the application process even more seamless. The second person will be able to hold the length taut while you remove the backing and smooth it onto the wall.

Step One: Choosing the correct wallpaper length. Our wallpapers are available in 3 lengths. 1.2m long, 2.5m long and 3.0m long. Measure your wall height, or the area you are wanting to cover, then choose your length accordingly.

Step Two: Choosing the correct wallpaper width. Our wallpapers are available online for widths up to 6m wide. Measure your wall width, then go online and choose the width that is the same, or wider than you wall space. Do not choose a shorter length as you will run out of paper. For example, if your wall is 3.9m long, please choose the option for a 4.2m wide wall - this will ensure you have plenty of wallpaper and do not run out.

Yes you certainly can clean your wallpaper. Strathmore Interiors wallpaper is best cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. It is not recommended to use any chemicals as this could damage the finish on the wallpaper and also cause the glue to become weakened.

No. Newly painted walls need time for the paint to dry completely and for it to de-gas. To be really conservative you should probably wait about 40 days after painting to apply your wallpaper. Less conservative industry estimates are 2-4 weeks for de-gassing to occur. If you apply wallpaper to a wall that has not de-gassed you will get air bubbles in your wallpaper and the glue can become weakened.
